BRC has gotten a bad rap. Most of the time that you buy it at a Cost Plus World Market or a neighborhood Korean market it's going to be stale and hard, with not much flavor. This is not how it's supposed to be! True BRC is soft and supple, fragrant with orange oil flavor! Your Humble Curator visited Little Tokyo in Los Angeles today and bought some exemplary BRC at the Nijiya Market. When fresh, BRC has the consistency of fresh mochi. Anything less, and you aren't experiencing BRC the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
